J.K Rowling Admits ‘We’re Done’ With Harry Potter

Get your tissues out guys, we’re saying goodbye to new Harry Potter material forever.

Well, until Rowling runs out of money anyway.

It’s been nearly twenty years, we’ve had seven novels, eight films and several theme park attractions and J.K Rowling has revealed that this is the end.

Speaking to press at the London premiere of The Cursed Child, Rowling said that Harry goes on a very big journey during these two places and then, yeah, I think we’re done.

Thisannouncement comes as TheCursed Child ends its month of preview runs and officially opens to the public. Speaking further on her decision toconclude Harrys story and her steady income stream with the play, the author added: This is the next generation, you know. So, Im thrilled to see it realized so beautifully but, no, Harry is done now.

Or, maybe her bank account is full? Only kidding, of course. There’s no such thing.

Parts I and II of TheCursed Childs printed scriptwent on sale Sunday at midnight and has received glowing reviews. The play, which is set to run untilDecember of 2017, tells the story of Harry, Ron, and Hermione 19 years after the events of the franchises final novel.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is currently playingat Londons Palace Theatre. Tickets are sold out, but250,000 seats will be available for purchase beginning Aug. 4. Write it in your diary!
